Karla R. King, PT, MPT, Cert MDT
Karla is a native of Mt. Nebo, WV. She moved to the Shenandoah Valley to teach elementary physical education in Front Royal VA after graduating from Fairmont State College in 1986. After teaching, coaching and officiating various sports she returned to graduate school to pursue her long time interest in Physical Therapy.
Upon graduating from Shenandoah University in 1995 she started her physical therapy career at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital in Woodstock, VA. In 1997, she began working at Winchester Medical Center and was also the Orthopedic and Anatomy Lab Assistant in the Physical Therapy Program at Shenandoah University, her alma mater.
In 2002 she was asked to join the practice of Shenandoah Valley Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine clinic here in Martinsburg, WV. Karla so enjoyed working with the medical community and the patients of the Eastern Panhandle she decided to open King Physical Therapy on March 1, 2005. She and her family moved to Martinsburg in July of 2005.
Karla enjoys spending time with friends and family, various outdoor activities, and routing on the Mountaineers.
Janet Cross
Jan, our patient representative and receptionist, is a new addition to King Physical Therapy. She and her family recently moved to Martinsburg from North Attleboro, MA. Jan is a graduate of Albright College in Reading, PT. Her career prior to King PT has been in retail, most recently being a district sales manager with stores in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Jan has always enjoyed working with the public, so working with you here at KPT will be a perfect fit for both!!
